The Bay of Islands Waldorf Education Trust is a charitable entity inspired by the work of Rudolf Steiner and the first Waldorf school, founded in Stutgard, Germany in 1919. It is this education philosophy that we aim to bring to communities of the Bay of Islands and Mid-North, and have done so through the Oromahoe Kindergarten since 2012.

The trust provides governance level oversight to the operation of the Oromahoe Kindergarten , playgroups and parent workshops. The trust board is made up of members of the local community.
